The Best Credit Card Promotions Available In The Market

By David Riewe

In determining which credit card to choose, it’s best to know the purpose of getting the card. Credit card companies may offer cards to their clients that have flexible terms with varying annual percentage rates or APRs. In choosing a credit card, an individual will need to study carefully and understand the purpose for getting the credit card.

Different credit cards have different features, APRs, annual membership fees and promotions that they provide their users.

Some credit cards may offer low APRs with no annual membership on the first few years of use although these may change to higher APRs and varying membership costs after the expiration of their waived membership fees and low APRs. In this example, the use of this particular credit card may only be applicable for short term use as there may be other credit cards available that offers fixed lower than current industry’s standard APRs. There are also credit cards offered in the market that waives the annual membership fees on a longer term basis as long as the credit card user is able to meet specific purchase and payment targets.

There are credit card companies on the other hand that offers reward points that provides flexibility in choosing how the rewards will be redeemed. Rewards points accumulated from purchases can be redeemed in the form of gifts, appliances, furniture, or even travel miles. For a frequent traveler who’s also a frequent credit card user, he can maximize the rewards system provided by credit card companies that offers travel perks with their frequent flyer programs.

There are merchants in the business of retail that are also offering credit cards to help promote the sales of their products. A retail company selling products on the internet may offer credit cards under major credit card companies. While the credit card is technically a standard credit card that can be used in purchases from various establishments, the retail company that provides the credit card rewards the consumer with reward points depending on the amount of purchases made. The reward points accumulated then is converted to gifts, products or redeemable check amounts that can be redeemed for products from their stores on the internet.

In choosing which credit card a person will choose, it’s always best to understand the purchase habits the person has. A person who’s a frequent traveler can maximize his credit card use by subscribing to credit cards that offers air mile rewards. A frequent shopper on the other hand may benefit from his credit card by getting a card that his favorite merchant is offering and later on redeem the points accumulated from the merchant’s stores.

Why Is The Popularity Of Portable Garages And Shelters Rising?

Why is the popularity of portable garages and shelters rising?

by

Cooper Lyon

Portable garages and shelters are constantly gaining popularity as a very interesting storage alternative. This is mainly due to the fact that they can offer quality outdoor storage while costing a lot less than a conventional construction would. The price is the main reason why people turn towards them in the first place but there are also other advantages that should be highlighted. We are definitely in front of one storage solution that is accessible to everyone. This includes people with a limited budget so you should never worry about this factor.

There is a wide grade variety available when talking about portable garages and shelters. Some of the manufacturers are going to use thin covers but this is not a general rule. The frame components are usually steel based tubes that are powder coated or galvanized. Those that are galvanized are going to be more resistant to the influence of the elements. What is interesting is the fact that most manufacturers will offer warranty for the covers. If they will be worn, a replacement is offered free of charge.

Taxes stand out as another reason why you might want to seriously consider investing in these structures. In every single city around the world we have to pay property tax when we install a regular garage or any other type of storage facility. The great thing about portable garages and shelters is the fact that they are usually not recognized as a permanent structure. The official label is \”temporary structure\”. Because of this, you will not be faced with having to pay more except for the regular property tax that you are already paying.

People love the fact that when dealing with smaller portable garages, there is no need to hire a professional provider for the installation process. Most of these unites will be really easy to erect. All that you are going to need is a set of tools that you most likely already have in your home. We can say that it takes around 3 hours for a small building to be erected and the larger units can even take up around 4 days. However, no heavy construction equipment will be necessary and the shelters are very easy to relocate based on personal needs. This is never possible with a permanent structure. Anchoring can be handled in many different ways. When you are mounting to asphalt or concrete, there is a need to use steel mounting feet and predrilled holes. When faced with sand, gravel or dirt, auger anchors are most likely going to be enough.

The bottom line is that there are many benefits of using portable garages and shelters. You are going to be able to save money on taxes and on the units since the price tag is much lower than what would be needed to erect a new permanent building. In addition, these units are going to be really durable if proper maintenance is going to be used. There is no real reason why you should not consider this storage option.

If you are looking for

portable garages and shelters

, you might want to try looking at providers that supply party tents or

disaster relief tents

They are the ones who will most likely carry portable garages and shelters.

Want Less Stress In The Kitchen? Then Choose The Right Kitchen Design!

Click Here For More Specific Information On:

Submitted by: Sarah H

Sometimes the best things take the longest to develop and with a good kitchen design it is no different. This is so because the kitchen is not only one of the most important functional rooms in the home but also because it serves the added purpose of adding tangible and aesthetic value to your home and any good kitchen design will be able to accomplish all these purposes.

Today kitchens are no less important than they were when they first became a focal point in the home; in fact, they are possibly more of a focal point and important today than they were in years past! Many families today live a very fast paced life and as such necessities and quality time often coincide so it s no wonder why so many families meet for a quick breakfast or dinner in the kitchen. But a bad kitchen design can make this function difficult let alone any idea of luxury which includes being able to spend some time with your family or friends when cooking or having a meal.

A good kitchen design is a design that does not only allow more than one person to work comfortably at the same time, but it also allows easy and accessible storage as well as aesthetic appeal so that people would actually want to spend time in the room doing things that would otherwise be a drab and a chore.

A good kitchen design takes into account the needs of the person or family that is going to be using the kitchen and as a result, things like the cabinets, appliances, furnishings and lighting should be adequate enough for these people to execute their kitchen tasks. Some people prefer a lot of work space in the kitchen so opting for all encompassing built-in units like kitchen islands and wall to wall counter tops are a great idea. Others prefer large refrigerators and stoves and ovens in which case these appliances should be chosen according to your particular needs and preferences.

The actually useable space in the kitchen is another factor that a good kitchen design takes into consideration to give you maximum usage in your kitchen. If the available space in the kitchen is not used economically and efficiently many people opt to have remodeling done, however since this can get quite costly a face lift project can help greatly in updating your kitchen design to suit your needs. A relatively easy way to do this is by changing your kitchen cabinets since this is what will help you be better able to manage your space. Some people, depending on the budget for the face lift project also replace bulky appliances.

Additions like ceramic backsplashes by the sink and stove area also serve functional and aesthetic value and one should never underestimate the value of upkeep like paint, fittings, fixtures, furnishings and accents that also serve to add luster and function to the design of a pre existing kitchen.

Where actual space is concerned some more drastic measures can be taken like calling in contractors to have walls removed or extended. Again this will depend on the size of your budget and how badly off your kitchen is. If time or finances don t allow it is also a wise idea to contact a professional just for opinions and suggestions for alternative ideas that could possibly be done on a budget.

Another good idea when it comes to kitchen design is to consult an interior decorator since these professionals will really be able to help you make the most of your available kitchen space. And they will really be able to make your kitchen work for your needs, personal preferences and overall lifestyle.

8 Job Interview Mistakes To Avoid

1. – DON’T SHOW UP LATE.

There is no easier way to lose points with a prospective employer than to show up late. First impressions do last. And unfortunately, showing up late screams things like I am unreliable or your time isnot important to me. Is this what you want a prospective employer tothink before you even have a chance to utter a word? Make it a pointto try to be early to every interview. That way, bad weather, trafficand that last minute phone call stand less chance of ruining yourentrance. If the unforeseen 18-wheeler does happen to dump 10 tons oftomatoes across the interstate, upon arrival, apologize first thing, offer a quickexplanation and move on. (Ideally you would have calledfrom your cell phone as soon as you caught sight of the delay.)

2. – DON’T ACT DISINTERESTED.

No matter what the circumstance never act disinterested during aninterview. If 10 minutes into the meeting you become certain thatnothing on the planet could convince you to take a job with thecompany continue to pay attention and act like you care about theconversation. Remember that the interviewer does not exist in avacuum. He or she has friends, relatives, and associates who mayinfluence future job opportunities. If you behave poorly, theinterviewer will remember and will share the story of you and yourunprofessional behavior with others. Havent you shared bad jobsearch experiences with people close to you? The interviewer isprobably no different.

3. – DON’T BE UNPREPARED.

Being prepared has many facets. Interviewers expect you to knowsomething about the company and the position you are seeking. Havingthis knowledge makes you appear both motivated and truly interested. So make sure you do your research! Excellent sources of informationinclude, the Internet, periodicals and people already in the field.Another facet of being prepared is being ready for the types ofquestions that may be asked. There are numerous articles on the weband in bookstores with practice interview questions and answers. Makesure to utilize all such resources available to you. And finally, dont forget to have extra copies of your resume and references onhand should they be requested.

4. – DON’T FORGET YOUR MANNERS.

No matter how old fashioned it appears to use word like please, sir, maam and thank you, do not delete these words from yourvocabulary. These simple words can work wonders towards making apositive impression. Always use a respectful tone of voice. Do notunnecessarily interrupt the interviewer. Maintain eye contact and apleasant expression. Leave the slang, slouching and gum chewing athome. Good manners signals respect for yourself and the people aroundyou; never underestimate their importance.

5. – DON’T DRESS INAPPROPRIATELY.

Whether you like it or not, the job interview is not the time toexpress your individuality. Always remember that your goal is to gainemployment, not to make a fashion statement. Accordingly, you shouldnot dress in any way that will distract attention from you and yourqualifications. Things to avoid include unconventional hair colors, excessive jewelry and makeup and any clothes that you would wear to anightclub. Prior to the interview, contact the companies HRdepartment and inquire about the company dress code. Do your best todress accordingly. If there is any doubt, err on the side of beingoverdressed.

6. – DON’T BE UNTRUTHFUL

Never, ever lie during an interview. Mistruths have an uncanny habitof catching up to people. If the interviewer catches you in a lieduring the interview, you have seriously damaged your chances of beinghired. After all, would you hire someone that you couldnt trust? Ifyour employer finds out you lied after you have been hired, it couldbe grounds for dismissal. Even if they do not dismiss you, you arestill in serious trouble as you have damaged your integrity in theeyes of your boss. The bottom line is that you should always betruthful when interviewing.

7. – DON’T BE MODEST.

When searching for the right job, put your modesty aside. Dont beafraid to confidently describe your skills and accomplishments. Afterall, if you dont sing your praises to your potential boss, then whowill? Dont count on your resume to do all the work; it is only atool to help you land the interview. Once you get your foot in thedoor, it is up to you to convince the interviewer that you are theideal person for the job. Worried that you will come across asconceited instead of self-confident? Then practice how and what youwill say with a friend or family member who can provide honestfeedback.

8. – DON’T FORGET THE “THANK YOU NOTE.

Once the interview has concluded, take a few moments to jot down yourimpressions of the interviewer, what you talked about and anyinteresting points that were brought up during the meeting. The idealtime and place to do this is in your car a soon as you have exited thebuilding, as your thoughts will be most fresh at this time. Use thisinformation as you compose a well thought out thank you note to theinterviewer. Mail this note no later than the day following theinterview. Remember promptness signals interest.

By avoiding these 8 simple mistakes, you can improve your chances ofhaving a successful interview and landing the job of your dreams.

Wikinews interviews specialists on China, Iran, Russia support for al-Assad

Monday, September 23, 2013

Over the past week, diplomatic actions have averted — or, at least delayed — military strikes on Syria by the United States. Wikinews sought input from a range of international experts on the situation; and, the tensions caused by Russia’s support for the al-Assad regime despite its apparent use of chemical weapons.

File:Ghouta chemical attack map.svg

Tensions in the country increased dramatically, late August when it was reported between 100 and 1,300 people were killed in an alleged chemical attack. Many of those killed appeared to be children, with some of the pictures and video coming out of the country showing — according to witnesses — those who died from apparent suffocation; some foaming at the mouth, others having convulsions.

Amongst Syria’s few remaining allies, Iran, China, and Russia continue to oppose calls for military intervention. In an effort to provide a better-understanding of the reasoning behind their ongoing support, the following people were posed a range of questions.
